Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a mixture capable of improving its adhesive force, excellent in compatibility stability, useful as the chief agent for two-pack polyurethane adhesives, by reacting a polyisocyanate with a specific glycol and a polyol followed by blending the reaction product with a two-pack polyurethane adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: This mixture composed of two components schematically expressed by respective formulas I and II is obtained by reaction of (A) (A1) a hydrogenated OH-terminated polybutadiene glycol and (A2) a polyol having in the molecule two or more OH groups with (B) a polyisocyanate. For example, the component A1 is reacted with an excess amount of the component B to form an active isocyanate group-contg. urethane prepolymer(UP) which is then reacted with the component A2 to produce the blocked polyurethane polyol (BU1) of formula I; separately, the component A2 is reacted with an excess of the component B to form a UP which is then reaced with the component A1 to produce the blocked polyurethane polyol (BU2) of formula II; next, the BU1 is mixed with the BU2 to obtain the objective blocked polyurethane polyol mixture.
