Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a braided cord, twine or twisted rope (1), in particular a netting (5,6,7) of said materials such as a fishing net, said cord, twine or rope having a core (3,4) with or of thermoplastic material which after being softened is allowed to penetrate from the interior into the openings between the threads or filaments (2) of the cord twine or rope (1), said penetration being performed in that the cord etc. is subjected to a shrinkage treatment whilst held under tension in the case of a knotted netting has to be from all sides.
