PURPOSE: To form various reflected light patterns on the surface of a sheet by a method wherein a reflecting layer for forming a predetermined pattern is laminated on the top surface of the sheet, and the reflecting layer is thermally bonded to the sheet with a projected and recessed pattern by the hot press of a hot stamp die having the predetermined projected and recessed pattern on the lower surface thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A transfer foil 2 is provided on a sheet 3. A hot stamp die 1 is pressed down from above to hot press the transfer foil 2 and the sheet 3. The transfer foil 2 is thermally bonded to the sheet 3. By releasing the transfer foil 2 from the sheet, only an adhesive layer 2e, a reflecting layer 2d, and an ink printing layer 2c at parts A, B, C of the transfer foil 2 remain on the sheet 3, and the other part of the transfer foil is all removed. Namely, a projected and recessed pattern corresponding to a pattern on the lower surface of the hot stamp die is formed on the sheet 3. Since the reflecting layer 2d per se in the projected and recessed pattern is also projected and recessed, lights are reflected at various levels on the reflecting surface, and lights incident on the part of the transferred pattern are reflected in various directions to form a reflected pattern.
