Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a briquette at low cost, having adequate breaking strength even from low-grade coal, by molding a blend of coal powder, lime and cement followed by air-drying.
CONSTITUTION: Coal powder made by grinding esp. low-grade coal is incorporated with lime as the sulfur-setting agent and pref. ca. 5W15wt% of cement as the binder to prepare mixed raw powder with the water content of said coal powder regulated pref. to 15W30wt%. Thence,, this mixed raw powder is molded into a briquette form through tablet press or extrusion press process followed by air-drying, thus obtaining the objective briquette.
