Title:
PRODUCTION OF BRUSH HAVING TAPERING BRISTLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3022762
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a brush having tapering bristles by forming monofilaments made of an arom. polyester resin as the bristles, immersing the front end side thereof into an aq. alkaline soln. to decompose the monofilaments from the surface, taking out the monofilaments before the core parts are decomposed and washing the monofilaments.
SOLUTION: The brush studded with the monofilaments 1 made of the arom. polyester resin as the bristles on a handle A is used as a material. The front end sides of the bristles are immersed into the aq. alkaline soln. to gradually decompose the respective monofilaments 1 in the bristles from the surfaces. The bristles are washed while the core pats of the respective monofilaments 1 still remain. If, for example, a polyamide resin 2 of a short length are mingled therewith, the monofilaments 2 made of the polyamide resin are hardly decomposed by the immersion of the aq. alkaline soln. and, therefore, the same sizes from the root to the tips is obtd. As a result, the effect of the brush is varied.
