PURPOSE: To readily obtain a compound useful as a remedy for pollakiuria and incontinence of urine by reacting a tertiary amine with chlorocarbonate and then reacting the reaction product with a primary amine.

CONSTITUTION: A compound expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are cycloalkyl, phenyl or 2-thienyl; R3 and R4 are H or alkyl or R3 and R4 are bonded with carbon to form cycloalkyl; A is O or NR (R is H or alkyl); B is cyclic amino] is reacted with a compound expressed by the formula ClCOOR6 (R6 is alkyl, aralkyl or aryl) in a solvent such as methylene chloride at -20 to 130°C to afford butynyl chlorides expressed by formula II. Then buthynyl chlorides expressed by formula II are reacted with a compound expressed by the formula R5NH2 (R5 is methyl or ethyl) in a mixed solvent such as water-methanol at -20 to 50°C to provide the title compound expressed by formula III. The compound expressed by formula III includes 4-chloro-1,1-dimethyl-2-butynyl-α- cyclohexyl-α-phenylglycolate.
