PURPOSE: To obtain a defectless casting having no foam in the inside by spraying a molten metal in a vacuum and solidifying the pulverous semi-molten metallic powder in a casting mold.

CONSTITUTION: A bar 6 for regulating the flow rate of the molten metal is moved after the inside of a vacuum vessel 1 is evacuated by a vacuum pump 2. The molten metal 8 is brought to a nozzle 4 for spraying by the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the vacuum vessel 1 when the passage to the nozzle 4 for spraying is opened. The molten metal is sprayed in said nozzle and the fine metallic powder 9 is formed. The fine metallic powder 9 is blown in the semi-molten state into the casting mold 3 and is solidified in the mold 3, by which the quickly cooled and solidified cast ingot 10 is obtd.
