PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively produce a casting mold having a prescribed shape by assembling and bundling many bar-shaped or plate-shaped constituting stocks and adequately sliding the constituting stocks in such assemblage thereby forming the casting mold.
CONSTITUTION: The many bar-shaped (or plate-shaped) constituting stocks 2 are respectively independently slidably assembled and bundled by frames 3 to constitute the assemblage. The material for the constituting stocks 2 is preferably the material which can be worked to the prescribed shape, has resistance to molten metal and has the smaller thermal expansion; for example, cast iron, steel, ceramics, etc., are usable. Part of the constituting stocks 2 of such assemblage are adequately slid to form the inside surface of the casting mold. The casting mold having the prescribed shape is thus formed easily each time.
