Title:
PRODUCTION OF CATALYST SUPPORTED INORGANIC POROUS BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04193343
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a catalyst supported inorg. porous body capable of preventing secular deterioration of the catalytic function by interposing a catalyst supported inorg. pillar material made of iron oxide between the layers of a swollen swellable laminar compd. and drying this compd.

CONSTITUTION: A catalyst 3 is supported on iron oxide as an inorg. pillar material 2 and a swellable laminar compd. 1 is swollen with a solvent. The catalyst supported inorg. pillar material 2 is interposed 1a between the layers of the swollen swellable laminar compd. 1 and this compd. 1 is dried to obtain a catalyst supported inorg. porous body with the catalyst 3 selectively supported on the inorg. pillar material 2 interposed 1a between the layers of the swellable laminar compd. 1. The catalyst 3 is at least one among Pt, Rh, Pd, Au and vanadium oxide. The compd. 1 may be Na-montmorillonite, Ca-montmorillonite, synthetic hectorite or synthetic smectite of trioxis octahedron type.
