Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the electric properties, cation selective permeability, chemicaland heat resistance and mechanical strength of a uniform cation exchange membrane by swelling the membrane well with an org. solvent and without removing the solvent, impregnating the swollen membrane with a polymerizable monomer after which the monomer is polymerized.
