Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce electric power consumption and to enhance thermal efficiency as well as to simplify the structure of a device into which a heater material coated with a ceramic coating film is incorporated.
CONSTITUTION: The objective ceramic coating film is produced through a process 1 in which a barium titanate sintered compact 3 of a prescribed shape consisting of grain boundaries 1 and many grains 2a-2c is formed, a process 2 in which the sintered compact 3 is crushed to form powder 4a-4e of the sintered compact in which grain boundaries 1 and grains 2n exist in a mixed state and a process 3 in which the surface of a ceramic substrate 5 is coated with the powder 4a-4e to form a ceramic coating film 6 having PTC characteristics.
