Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chloroprene polymer affording an adhesive highly suppressed in discoloration degree after stored when stored in a metallic container such as a tin can.
SOLUTION: This chloroprene (co)polymer is obtained by emulsion (co) polymerization of 2-chloro-1,3-butadiene monomer or between 2-chloro-1,3- butadiene and another monomer copolymerizable therewith, wherein an emulsion prepared, in advance, by dissolving a piperidyl group-bearing compound in the chloroprene monomer followed by emulsification, is added to the system after a point when monomer conversion comes to 40% of that at the time of polymerization termination, but until the polymerization termination.
