PURPOSE: To strongly fix the printed part applied to base cloth within a short time by forming a urethane resin film on the surface of the base cloth and applying printing to the film using printing ink and subsequently heating the printed film to generate urethane chemical reaction.

CONSTITUTION: A liquid urethane resin 12 is thinly applied to the surface of tape-like base cloth 10 while the base cloth 10 is moved in one direction. This work is executed, for example, by arranging a doctor knife at the position above the surface of the base cloth 10 so as to provide a slight interval and thinly spreading the urethane resin 12 supplied to the base cloth 10 when the base cloth 10 passes under the doctor knife. The coated base cloth 10 having the urethane resin coating layer formed thereon is smoothed by a roller 24 and printing is applied to the smoothed coating layer of the base cloth by a printer 20 using printing ink containing blocked isocyanate and, subsequently, hot air is sprayed to the base cloth 18 in a drying furnace 28 to dry the coating layer and the printing ink.
