Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain coal tar of higher value by modifying through hydrogenation the constituents of coal tar obtained in a process for producing gases, tar and char by rapidly pyrolyzing coal.

CONSTITUTION: A process for producing gases, tar and char by rapidly pyrolyzing coal, wherein the gases formed in the pyrolysis and being in a high- temperature state are blown into the formed tar to heat it to 400°C or above.
