Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable saving of energy through a reduction in the amount of treatment in a mixer of a high-concn. system, by utilizing a wet ultrafine pulverization mill of a conventional high-concn. system in a low-concn. system.
CONSTITUTION: In the production of a coal-water slurry, an ultrafine pulverization means (e.g., ultrafine pulverization mill 24) is provided in a low-concn. coal-water slurry system having a low coal content in order to prepare a coal- water slurry which comprises a fine particle slurry from 6 and an ultrafine particle slurry from 24 and has two particle size distributions, i.e., that of coarse coal particles and that of fine coal particles.
