PURPOSE: To easily obtain the elastomer having high thermal stability and high quality by bringing an NCO-terminated prepolymer of a specific mol.wt. based on a polyisocyanate and polyether and diaminodiphenyl urea into reaction at a specific temp. in a heterogeneous phase.
CONSTITUTION: The objective elastomer is obtd. by bringing a mixture of (A) the NCO-terminated prepolymer which is based on the polyisocyanate (e.g. 2,4-diisocyanate toluene, etc.), and the polyether (e.g. polypropylene glycol ether, etc.), and has the mol.wt. of 400 to 10,000 and an ethylene oxide content of 10 to 60 mol.% and (B) the solid diaminodiphenyl urea (e.g. 3,3'-diamino-4,4'- diphenyl urea, etc.), corresponding to formula (R1 to R4 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl; amino groups are in the m- and/or P- position to the urea group) into reaction at a temp. of 5 to 40°C in the heterogeneous phase.
