To obtain a condensation resin dispersion having good dispersion stability and low viscosity by condensing an aldehyde with a compound condensable therewith or condensing a precondensate between them in the presence of a specified active-hydrogen compound.
In a process for precipitating fine condensation resin particles by condensing an aldehyde with a compound condensable therewith or condensing a precondensate between them in the presence of a compound having two or more active-hydrogen groups, the active-hydrogen compound has hydrophilic groups. According to this process, the hydrophilic groups act on the formation of fine condensation resin particles accompanied by a dehydration reaction to facilitate the uniform formation of fine particles of the condensation polymer. Therefore, a condensation resin dispersion having good dispersion stability and low viscosity can be obtained.
