Title:
PRODUCTION OF CONDENSED DISAZO PIGMENT, INK JET RECORDING LIQUID USING PIGMENT PRODUCED THEREBY, AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11279429
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a condensed disazo pigment excellent in light resistance and dispersibility, and an ink jet-recording liquid capable of providing a printed product good in transparency and having good jetting stability in a printer head.

A compound of the formula (R is methyl group or chlorine atom; A is methyl group or hydrogen atom; B is trifluoromethyl group or chlorine atom; D is hydrogen atom, methyl group or p-chlorophenoxy group) is dissolved in sulfuric acid to provide a sulfuric acid solution, and the obtained sulfuric acid solution is cast into water to provide a fine precipitate. The obtained precipitate is formed into a slurry in at least one solvent selected from an aromatic hydrocarbon or the like, and the obtained slurry is heat- treated at 40-200°C to provide the objective condensed disazo pigment in the method for producing the disazo pigment. The ink jet-recording liquid contains the pigment produced by the method and dispersed in an aqueous medium.
