PURPOSE: To provide a process for easily producing a covered elastic yarn having extremely excellent blending and entangling performance and high collectability and free from generation of uneven part such as nep.

CONSTITUTION: An elastic yarn A is stretched ≥1.4 times in a stretching zone and subsequently introduced into an entangling zone with a take-off roller 2 of the stretching zone under 1.0-1.2 times elongation. At the same time, other non-elastic filament yarn B is supplied with the take-off roller 2 to the entangling zone in a state separated from the elastic yarn A and doubled with the yarn A. The doubled yarns A, B are blended and entangled and the product is wound under application of real twist of ≥10T/m.
