PURPOSE: To easily obtain a cross-linked polyolefin composition without deteriorating its hue by heat fusion treatment of a blend of a copolymer of an alkenylsilane and olefin and a magnesium-contg. hydrous basic carbonate mineral.
CONSTITUTION: This cross-linked polyolefin composition is easily obtained without deteriorating its hue by heat fusion treatment of a blend comprising (A) a copolymer prepared by copolymerization between an alkenylsilane (e.g. vinylsilane) and an olefin (e.g. propylene) using a catalyst as a combination of a transition metal compound (e.g. titanium tetrachloride) and an organometallic compound (e.g. triethylaluminum), (B) a magnesium-contg. hydrous basic carbonate mineral (e.g. hydrotalcite), and, according as necessary, (C) a crystalline polyolefin (e.g. crystalline polypropylene).
