PURPOSE: To obtain a method for easily producing a curved panel of a good design useful for a top plate, a counter, a door, and others of housing fixtures and furniture by bending a composite panel.

CONSTITUTION: A composite plate 1 is formed by laminating a surface layer plate material 2 (e.g. an acrylic artificial marble) of 1-4mm thickness that can be bent under heat on a planar substrate 3 that cannot be bent under heat. Grooves 31 (esp. pref. of a V shape) are formed in the planar substrate 3. Thereafter, before or after the injection of an adhesive or filler 4 to the grooves 31, the surface plate material 2 is softened under heat and bent with the planar substrate 3 inside. By this method, a curved panel 1' is produced.
