This method for producing cyclopentyl chloride comprises reacting cyclopentene with hydrogen chloride. Therein, the reaction is carried out while blowing gaseous hydrogen chloride in a vessel having cyclopentene and a 25-40 wt.% aqueous hydrogen chloride solution therein at 50-70°C.
