Abstract:
To simply and inexpensively obtain dichlorobutene derivative in high yield with industrial advantage by allowing isoprene to react with chlorine in the presence of an onium salt catalyst.
(A) Isoprene is allowed to react with (C) chlorine in the presence of (B) a catalyst, preferably one or more kinds of onium salts selected from among tetrametylammonium bromide, tetrabutylammonium bromide, tetrabutylphosphonium bromide and hexadecyltrimethylammonium chloride. This reaction is preferably carried out in a solvent in an amount of 0.02-1 mole of a solvent per mole of the component A, preferably an aprotic polar solvent such as dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide or hexamethylphosphoramide.
