Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the process for production of the thin electric resistance welded steel pipe having the excellent roundness at the end of a small steel pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Rolls are divided by ≥4 and the roll diameters are equaled to the diameter of ≥3 times the diameter of the steel pipe to uniformalize forming in a sizer stage for setting the roundness of the electric resistance welded steel pipe. In addition, the circumferential distribution of residual stresses is uniformalized by 0.05 to 0.5% drawing rate without driving, by which the excellent pipe body and roundness at the pipe end are obtd.
