Title:
PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE PARTICLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0394078
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily obtain low-cost particles having low specific gravity and uniform electrical conductivity by dry-mixing core particles having a prescribed particle size with fine particles of an electrically conductive metal having a prescribed particle size under mechanical stress and by forming metal layers on the surfaces of the core particles.

CONSTITUTION: Core particles having 1-200μm average particle size are dry- mixed with fine particles of an electrically conductive metal having 0.01-10μm average particle size and fine particles of polymethyl methacrylate and/or silica having ≤0.3μm average particle size. The core particles are made of silica, glass, plastics, a metal or metal oxide. Metal layers are formed on the surfaces of the core particles. When the core particles are successively mixed with fine particles of plural kinds of electrically conductive metals, multilayered metal films are formed on the surfaces of the core particles.
