Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an electrophotographic sensitive body having improved potential characteristics at a low temp. and humidity and preventing the occurrence of image defects such as black spots and white spots on an image due to cissing, stain, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The surface of a washed electric conductive substrate 1 is dip-coated with an underlayer 2 of a hydrophobic resin binder selected from among acrylic resin, ABS resin, polyester resin, epoxy resin, butadiene resin, butyral resin, polyurethane resin, polyethylene resin, polyether resin, polycarbonate resin, polystyrene resin, vinyl chloride resin and vinyl acetate resin, an electric charge generating layer 3 is formed on the underlayer 2 by spraying and an electric charge transferring layer 4 is further formed on the electric charge generating layer 3 by dip coating or spray coating.
