Title:
PRODUCTION OF ELECTROPLATED STEEL SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2713091
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheet having excellent powdering resistance by plating Ni on the surface of an annealed cold rolled steel sheet before temper-rolling and electroplating Zn-Ni alloy after pickling treating.
CONSTITUTION: Ni is electro- or chemical-plated on the surface of the cold rolled and annealed steel sheet with 0.05g/m2 coating weight after degreased and purified. Next, the strain is released by applying temper-rolling ≥0.1% in elongation percentage to introduce fine cracks on the Ni-plated coating film. Furthermore, if necessary, after the steel sheet is pickling treated with a hydrochloric acid, the Zn-Ni alloy containing about 13% nickel and balance Zn is electroplated with about 30g/m2 coating weight. The Zn-Ni alloy electroplated steel sheet having excellent powdering resistance is obtained.
