PURPOSE: To provide a producing method of an Fe3Al base alloy-made member (e.g. round bar, pipe, plate, etc.), in which the elongation at the room temp. can further be improved in the Fe3Al base alloy showing excellent corrosion resistance even under the severe high temp. corrosive environment.
CONSTITUTION: Hot-extrusion or hot-rolling is executed by using a preform applying the hot-working at ≥800°C to a cast block of the Fe3Al base alloy having Fe3Al series intermetallic compound as the main constituting phase. At the time of producing the Fe3Al base alloy-made round bar or pipe, a method, in which the preform is heated to ≤1100°C and the hot-extrusion is executed at ≥10mm/sec extruding speed, is recomended. At the time of producing the Fe3Al base alloy-made plate, a method, in which the preform is heated to ≤900°C, and the hot-rolling is executed, is desirable.
