PURPOSE: To produce a high-strength fiber-reinforced cement board by the dry process by improving the bondingness of a pulp fiber as a substitute for asbestos to the cement matrix.
CONSTITUTION: A siliceous material contg. 5wt.% of a pulp fiber previously wetted with an aq. soln. of silica fume, 5wt.% of a crystalline silica having 3,000-3,500 Blaine value, 5wt.% of a crystalline silica having 9,000-11,000 am /g Blaine value and 5wt.% of an amorphous silica having 200,000-300,000cm2/g Blaine value is prepared, 39-42wt.% of the siliceous material, 42-47wt.% cement and other extenders are mixed, and the obtained cement mixture is dried, forcedly agitated by a mixer and supplied on a forming belt in layers to produce a fiber-reinforced cement board by the dry process.
