PURPOSE: To obtain the above material having excellent algae-proofing property, free from the problems such as teratogenesis of fish and damage on fish body, and suitable as a ship mooring rope or rope for cultivation, by using raised fabric having specific raisings and working the fabric in such a manner as to face the raised surface outward.

CONSTITUTION: A raised fabric preferably having a raised fiber length of 0.5W45mm and a density of 100W several hundred thousand fibers/cm2 and having a form of a tape, etc., e.g., a warp pile fabric is produced form thin fiber of polyethylene terephthalate, etc., having a thickness of ≤5 denier. The objective material is obtained by twisting the fabric in a manner to face the raised surface outward or covering the fabric on other core material in a manner to direct the raisings outward.
