PURPOSE: To obtain a hard-to-ignite mulching material prevented from a fire by incorporating a bark-ground product of broadleaf tree etc., with a flame retardant and an aqueous emulsion resin as vegetation paste.
CONSTITUTION: A bark-ground product of broadleaf and/or coniferous tree is incorporated with pref. 0.1-30wt.% of inorganic flame retardant except phosphoric acid (pref. a phosphate such as ammonium phosphate, melamine phosphate or guanidine phosphate, phosphorus compound such as red phosphorus, inorganic metal salt such as aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide or boric acid) and/or organic flame retardant (pref. a phosphoric ester such as tributyl phosphate, halogen-based organic compound such as decabromodiphenyl oxide) and pref. 0.1-30wt.% of an aqueous emulsion resin as vegetation paste presenting tack force after losing the moisture attached to fiber surface (pref. an acrylic emulsion resin), to obtain the objective mulching material.
