PURPOSE: To provide a flat floor finish material generating no upward warp, easily bonded to a floor surface and enhanced in execution properties by placing veneer prescribed in its moisture content on the surface of a molten plastic sheet and pressing said veneer under cooling to unify the same with the plastic sheet.

CONSTITUTION: Veneer with moisture content of 10% or less is placed on the surface of a plastic sheet pref. composed of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer brought to a molten state under heating. As the veneer, wood is used and a Japanese oak material is usually used. After the veneer is placed, the veneer is cooled under pressure to be unified with the plastic sheet. The moisture content of the veneer is limited in order to prevent that the steam in the veneer is raised under heating and pressure to generate a crack in the veneer or to obstruct the bonding to the plastic sheet. In the floor finish material thus produced, a rubber sheet, a fiber sheet or a different plastic sheet may be laminated to the surface opposite to the veneer of the plastic sheet.
