To produce a floor material for guiding a visually handicapped person excellent in the adhesiveness of projected parts and a floor material base plate and not generating warpage in a floor material and excellent in productivity.
In such a state that a thermoplastic resin sheet 6 is held by a floor material substrate 2 and the mold 7 arranged thereabove between two electrodes 4, 5, high frequency voltage is applied across the electrodes 4, 5 and the thermoplastic resin sheet is cooled in the grasped state to form projection parts 3 on the floor material substrate 2. The cutting-off of the unnecessary part 6a of the resin sheet 6 may be performed in a separate process by a. punching mold 8 or may be performed by one process using a mold fitted with a cutting blade.
