Abstract:
To obtain fluorinated nitrilles useful in the field of material chemistry in a high yield, by reacting an oxime with a sulfur fluoride derivative.
The objective compound of formula II such as 1-(2- cyanoethyl)-2-(1-fluoro-1-methylethyl)benzene can be produced by reacting an oxime of formula I (R1 and R2 are each an alkyl, an aryl, carboxyl, etc.; X is an alkyl, an aryl, etc.) with a sulfur fluoride derivative. The reaction is preferably carried out in a solvent such as dichoromethane using more than equimolar amount of diethylaminosulfur trifluoride as the sulfur fluoride derivative based on the raw material at a temp. of -100 to +40°C.
