PURPOSE: To improve a molded piece in rigidity and appearance as a whole by a method wherein a projection provided correspondingly to an injection port of a hollow injection mold is melted to be flat by a melting equipment after injection molding and, at the same time, a small hole corresponding to the injection port is closed.
CONSTITUTION: A conical projection 9 is provided on a rear surface 8a of an assist grip 8 as a hollow injection molded piece on the center thereof corresponding to an injection port. After the grip 8 is molded, the projection 9 is thermally melted by a contact fusion surface 12 provided at the top of a soldering bit 11 and contact fused to be flush with the rear surface 8a. At the same time, a small hole 10 of the projection 9 is also closed with the melt material. A thick wall part is formed where a thin wall periphery 10a of the small hole 10 has existed so far. In this manner, the assist grip 8 can be improved in rigidity and appearance as a whole.
