PURPOSE: To stably and surely obtain a hot rolled steel sheet excellent in descalability with arc discharging by controlling finish rolling completion temperature, a coiling temperature and time from finish rolling completion to coiling in the prescribed range.
CONSTITUTION: At a finish rolling process of continuous hot rolling of low carbon steel, low alloy steel, etc., the finish rolling completion temp., coiling temp. and the time from the finish rolling completion to coiling are controlled, based on the inequality: 0.027×FT+0.00018×(FT+CT)×t≤27.2, where FT: finish rolling completion temp., CT: coiling temperature and t: time from finish rolling completion to coiling (sec). The (t) of ≤1000°C and the finish draft of ≤90% are pref. By means of this hot rolled steel sheet, at the descaling process by arc discharging, the improving effect of workability, productivity and yield, etc., can be obtained.
