Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the grade of molded catalyst-type particles by density by which a catalytic substance contaminated with metal is separated from the uncontaminated catalyst particle similar to the catalytic substance in size and shape.
SOLUTION: In the mixture of spent catalyst-type particles, the relatively uncontaminated particle and slightly contaminated particle are suspended in a gas over a heavily contaminated particle. The heavily contaminated particle is moved upward along a vibrated inclined surface and recovered from a first outlet, the slightly contaminated particle is brought into contact with the lower part of the vibrated surface and recovered from a second outlet, and the relatively uncontaminated particle is brought into contact with a part of the lower part of the vibrated surface in contact with the slightly contaminated particle and recovered from a third outlet.
