Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle a wax in a liquid state and to obtain a uniform emulsion by adhering with a composition comprising an organic polyisocyanate, an aqueous emulsion of the wax, and an alkanolamine salt.
SOLUTION: An organic polyisocyanate may be an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer, and the NCO content is made preferably 20-30%. It is obtained from a reaction between a polyether polyol containing at lewast 50 mole % of an ethylene oxide unit and MDI or a polymeric MDI. The use of a water- dispersable polymeric MDI is preferable. With an aqueous emulsion, a wax type release agent of 50-160°C mel.ting point is made. The solid content of the emulsion is preferably 10-50 wt.%. As alcohols of alkanolamine salts of phosphates, 12-20C aliphatic alcohols are preferable, in esterification with phosphoric acid, partial esterification is preferable.
