Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily produce a liq. crystal display device which reduces display defects in the electrification part and ensures satisfactory display quality. CONSTITUTION:First and second substrates 1, 2 with electric conductive transparent electrodes 3, 4 and oriented films 15, 6 laminated on the principal faces, respectively, are placed opposite to each other with a prescribed gap in-between and seal-bonded with a frame-shaped seal bonding agent 7 and a liq. crystal 9 is injected into the gap. In this case, part of the oriented film 15 on the first substrate 1 is removed to form an electrode exposed region 13 in which the electrode 3 comes in contact with the liq. crystal 9 in the resulting cell and the region 13 is irradiated with UV after the liq. crystal 9 is injected.
