PURPOSE: To enable easy removal of a film substrate in the part facing lead parts by providing preliminarily half cut lines to the part of the film substrate facing the lead parts and parting the substrate at the half cut lines.

CONSTITUTION: Plural parts to be filled with a liquid crystal are formed of sealing materials 3 between an upper plastic film substrate 1 and a lower plastic film substrate 2 and a liquid crystal 4 is filled in the part to be filled with the liquid crystal. Half cut lines 7 are formed on the outside surface of the substrate 1 in the part facing lead parts 6. If the substrate 1 is removed at the lines 7 after the substrate is parted at a parting line 5, the removal of the substrate is accomplished easily by the method having no problem in production.
