PURPOSE: To make mass production of liquid crystal display panels possible in the stage of stacking many sheets of adhered glass substrates and heating and sticking the same by interposing thin metallic sheets provided with air escaping grooves on the top and bottom of the adhered glass substrates.

CONSTITUTION: A sealant is printed on one of two sheets of glass substrates and glass substrates 1a and 1b are adhered via the sealant. Thereafter, thin metallic sheets 4 are placed on the top and bottom of the set of the substrates 1a, 1b. With many sets of the substrates 1a, 1b held stacked, the substrates are heated and stuck under the pressure exerted from the top. Here, grooves 5 for escaping of air are provided to the sheets 4, so that in the stage of heating and sticking the nonuniformity in the spacings between the substrates 1a and the substrates 1b to be caused by expansion of air is obviated. Since the sheets 4 has higher heat capacity than the substrates 1a, 1b, the sealants printed on the glass substrates are cured uniformly in the stage of heating and the spacings between the glass substrates are maintained uniformly.
