Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the forming of C/C-made vessel of good quality with a high interlaminar strength, excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance by avoiding the occurrence of defects in the case of the filament winding process.
SOLUTION: When a C/C-made vessel that is provided with the bottom, upward-standing side-walls and has an opening on the top is produced, carbon fibers are used to cut out a petaloid-shape material 12 having the bottom part 12a corresponding to the bottom and the sidewall part 12b corresponding to a part of the side wall in the circumferential direction parts of the vessel. In a plurality of petaloid-shaped materials 12, they are properly laminated so that their bottom parts 12a may be exactly aligned to form the bottom. Simultaneously, the positions of the side-wall parts 12b are property shifted in the peripheral direction, then the shifted sidewall parts 12b are inclined upward or allowed to uprise thereby forming continuous side-wall laminates. The resultant carbon fiber product is used as a mother mold for the objective vessel.
