Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply produce the subject complex useful as photoresponsive materials, organic electronic materials, or the like, by respectively separately dissolving porphyrins and a transition metal salt in solvents, then mixing both solutions and reacting the porphyrins with the transition metal salt in the presence of a basic substance.
SOLUTION: This method is to produce a porphyrins metal complex containing a transition metal inserted into the porphyrin ring. Porphyrins which may have a hydrophobic or a hydrophilic substituent group and the transition metal salt comprising an inorganic salt, or the like, of iron (Fe) or manganese(Mn) are respectively separately dissolved in solvents and both the solutions are then mixed to react the porphyrins with the transition metal salt in the presence of a basic substance at ≤40°C temperature. Thereby, the objective porphyrins metal complex is produced under mild conditions in high selectivity according to simple means. The resultant metal complex is useful as functional materials, or the like, such as photoresponsive materials or organic electronic materials.
