Abstract:
To provide a method of producing a bulky coat layer while suppressing cracking and peeling of the coat layer of an exhaust gas cleaning device.SOLUTION: A production method of a coat layer of an exhaust gas cleaning device includes coating a substrate 10 with slurry containing carrier particles 32 and a dispersion medium to form a slurry layer 22 on the substrate and drying and burning the slurry layer 22 to form a coat layer. The carrier particles 32 have a median size (D50) of 5.00-9.00 μm. The dispersion medium contains water and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone or contains water and diethylene glycol diethyl ether.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
