Abstract:
To provide a method which can safely and stably produce a cyano compound, particularly an alkyl (R)-4-cyano-3-hydroxybutyrate, without corrosion of pipes.
In the production of the cyano compound, characteristically, the production is carried out in a reactor to which the pipes are connected, and for the parts of the pipes where insoluble substances formed in the production processes pile up, at least the surfaces of the parts which can get into contact with the insoluble substances comprise materials which do not contain iron or nickel.
