To provide a solid, high-purity cyclic compound or a derivative thereof, a production method capable of producing the cyclic compound or the derivative thereof at a high yield, and a high-quality chemical.SOLUTION: A production method of a cyclic compound or a derivative thereof includes: a crystallization step of applying a crystallization treatment to a raw material liquid containing a cyclic compound or a derivative thereof to precipitate a solute of the raw material liquid as solid; and a solid-liquid separation step of collecting the solid from a raw material liquid.
