To provide a new method for production with which a foreign enzyme protein is produced by a transgenic silkworm.
The high-molecular weight foreign enzyme protein can easily be obtained in a large amount from a silk gland or a silk thread of the transgenic silkworm as follows. The transgenic silkworm is prepared by transferring a gene group containing a first gene containing a gene of GAL4 or an analog thereof linked to the downstream side of a promoter for inducing the expression specifically in the silk gland and a second gene containing a gene of a protein expressed specifically in the silk gland and linked to the downstream side of a gene of a UAS (an upstream activating sequence) and a gene of the foreign enzyme protein linked to the downstream side of the gene of the protein expressed specifically in the silk gland into the chromosome.
