Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polypropylene terephthalate/ polyethylene terephthalate(PPT/PET) copolyester.
SOLUTION: The method for producing a PPT/PET copolyester comprises, as an optional step, the step of subjecting pure terephthalic acid(PTA) and 1,3-propanediol(1,3-PDO) and/or ethylene glycol(EG) to the esterification reaction and as an essential step, the step of subjecting bis(2-hydroxypropyl) terephthalate(BHPT) and bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate(BHET) to the copolymerization reaction.
