To simply produce a structure for a chair at low cost.
In a production method of a structure for a chair such as seat or backrest consisting of a thermoplastic resin core material 2, a cushion 3 and a surface lining material 4, a nonwoven fabric 26 and a core material are superposed and united into a sheet. The sheet material is heated with the nonwoven fabric at the downside. After heating at least to the state in which the surface of the core material 2 melts but the whole body still keeps the original shape, the core material 2 is transferred to between press molds, and the cushion 3 and the surface lining material 4 are placed on the surface side of the heated core material 2 and press-formed with the press molds. The press mold has a clearance part to keep the lamination state of the core material 2, cushion 3 and the surface lining material 4 as a structure of chair for the part 5 requiring elasticity. While the clearance part maintains the elasticity of the cushion 3, the mold has a press part other then the clearance part, which presses to unit the core material 2, the cushion 3 and the surface lining material 4, welding them with collapsed cushion 3.
