Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain methylamines by reacting methanol with ammonia, in the presence of a high performance catalyst which retards the production of trimethylamine at increased conversion and shows high activity.
CONSTITUTION: In the production of methylamines by reaction of methanol with ammonia as a catalyst, is used at least a compound selected from the group consisting Mordenite or Clinoptilolite which us prepared by heating to 500-750°C then sillylated in liquid phase with a sillylating agent, with succeeding heat treatment at 500-750°C.
